Where we work

Home Remodel Austin works in Austin and 10 towns around it. Each city runs its own permit office, so we file with the office for the city your house is in.

Austin and the towns around it

We work north of Austin in Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Georgetown, and Leander. Bee Cave and West Lake Hills are west of Austin, Buda and Kyle are south, and Manor is east. We take on the same work in each town, including kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, showers, additions, garage conversions, and whole-house remodels.

Which office reviews your remodel depends on the city your house sits in. Some houses with an Austin mailing address sit outside Austin city limits. For Austin remodel permits, the City of Austin’s Development Services Department reviews remodels inside Austin city limits.

Permits depend on the city

Kyle building permits and Bee Cave building permits both list remodels that relocate or remove interior walls, or involve electrical, mechanical, or plumbing work, as needing a permit. According to West Lake Hills building and development, West Lake Hills accepts permit applications that need review on the first business day of the week. The first round of comments can take up to 4 weeks after an application is complete.

According to Cedar Park permits and inspections, Cedar Park requires every contractor to register with the city, with no registration fee. Each city’s rules change, so we check its current page before we file.
